Thang Long Imperial Citadel will become a colossal book in the Book Festival day \u201cHanoi \u2013 City for peace\u201d during 26\/9-2\/10.<\/p>\n

The Book Festival opens from 8-21h every day during the period. Accordingly, the Book Festival covers the book stands displaying and introducing books with the subjects such as: \u201cOld Thang Long \u2013 Present Hanoi\u201d \u201cBook\u2019s journey\u201d \u201cPresident Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi Capital\u201d \u201cHanoi with country\u2019s seas and islands\u201d and \u201cDiscovering the world\u201d, \u201cSelected books\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n

Particularly, the book stand \u201cOld Thang Long \u2013 Present Hanoi\u201d will introduce the readers the books and publications about cultural tradition, history of Thang Long – Hanoi, establishment and development process of the Capital with the focus as Bookcase \u201cThang Long \u2013 thousand years of civilization\u201d.<\/p>\n

Documents, books published from the end of 19th<\/sup> century to 1970s of 20th<\/sup> century (focus are the books published during nine-year resistance war against French colonialists 1945 \u2013 1954) will be displayed in the book stand \u201cBook\u2019s journey\u201d.<\/p>\n

Besides, the book stand \u201cPresident Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi Capital\u201d introduces the books, photos, documents about President Ho Chi Minh\u2019s life and achievements and other publications of the subject \u201cLearning and following President Ho Chi Minh\u2019s moral sample\u201d.<\/p>\n

Vietnam Association of Publishers will introduce the books which have been awarded with \u201cVietnam Books Award\u201d every year in the book stand \u201cSelected books\u201d.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Book Festival \u201cHanoi \u2013 City for peace\u201d has many other book stands to introduce, sell books, publications of other kinds (literature books; economic books, scientific-technical books; e-books and digital books \u2026) published by the publishing houses and companies at discount price.<\/p>\n

Within the framework of the Book Festival, the talks about Thang Long-Hanoi culture, reading culture and exchanges with the authors who wrote about Hanoi will also be organized in the Center for Thang Long-Hanoi Heritage Preservation.<\/p>\n

During the Book Festival, Organizing Board will call for book donation for the libraries, schools and cultural post-office in the mountainous communes, very poor communes in the city, soldiers and people in Truong Sa Island District (Khanh Hoa).<\/p>\n

The Book Festival \u201cHanoi \u2013 City for peace\u201d will be held on occasion of 60th<\/sup> anniversary of Capital\u2019s liberation (10\/10\/1954-10\/10\/2014) and 15th<\/sup> anniversary of Hanoi\u2019s recognition as \u201cCity for peace\u201d by UNESCO (1999-2014).<\/p>\n
