<\/a><\/p>\nOn the occasion of the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Monkey, 2016 and in celebration of the successful conclusion of the 12th<\/sup> National Communist Party Congress, the Th\u0103ng Long – H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i Heritage Conservation Centre has worked with relevant agencies to organize various exhibitions and traditional cultural activities at the Th\u0103ng Long Imperial Citadel heritage site, providing the people with an opportunity to enjoy themselves and usher in the new year.<\/p>\n The Lunar New Year is the most important holiday in the cultural life of the Vietnamese people, as this is a time that marks the transition from the old year to a new year when people pay tribute to their ancestors. Featuring many different customs like picking the new bud or young leaves (h\u00e1i l\u1ed9c), making first visits (x\u00f4ng nh\u00e0), writing the first letters (khai b\u00fat), exchanging New Year wishes (ch\u00fac T\u1ebft), visiting pagodas (l\u1ec5 ch\u00f9a) among others, T\u1ebft<\/i> is a culmination of all the most essential elements of the material and spiritual life of the Vietnamese people. The exhibition \u201cT\u1ebft Vi\u1ec7t\u201d is a special activity held at Th\u0103ng Long Imperial Citadel on the occasion of the New Year 2016. Apart from the customary display and introduction of unique photos, documents, and objects about the traditional T\u1ebft, the reconstruction of the traditional cultural spaces of the Vietnamese people, such as the T\u1ebft<\/i><\/b> stall<\/i><\/b>, <\/i><\/b>the <\/i><\/b>T\u1ebft<\/i><\/b> paintings<\/i><\/b>, T\u1ebft<\/i><\/b> costumes<\/i><\/b>, <\/i><\/b>T\u1ebft<\/i><\/b> worshipping spaces<\/i><\/b>, <\/i><\/b>flower and bonsai, New Year calligraphy, <\/i><\/b>this year the Organizing Committee also offers some additional interesting performances to introduce more Vietnamese traditions and customs during the T\u1ebft holiday, such as culinary art. Besides, T\u1ebft shopping, eating and playing are original cultural practices of the Vietnamese people that are handed down to today\u2019s generation. At the exhibition, there will be many activities, for example, \u0110\u00f4ng H\u1ed3 Artist Nguy\u1ec5n H\u1eefu Qu\u1ea3 talking about the process of making \u0110\u00f4ng H\u1ed3 paintings, artisans of Tranh Kh\u00fac village instructing on how to make a ch\u01b0ng cake, Artist \u00c1nh Tuy\u1ebft introducing the traditional votive food tray and demonstrating the making of the popular nem<\/i> or spring rolls, etc. The participation of more than 150 students from the Experimentation High School is expected to help diffuse tradition education among young generations.<\/p>\n
