On the morning of 10 October 2020, delegates of H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i Party Committee, People\u2019s Council, People\u2019s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front took part in an incense-offering ceremony at Th\u0103ng Long Imperial Citadel. This was an activity to celebrate the 1010th anniversary of Th\u0103ng Long – H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i (1010-2020) and to demonstrate the good cultural tradition of “remember the headspring as you drink water” of the nation.<\/p>\n

Joining the delegation were comrades: Politburo member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the city’s National Assembly delegation V\u01b0\u01a1ng \u0110\u00ecnh Hu\u1ec7; Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Ng\u00f4 Th\u1ecb Thanh H\u1eb1ng; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Chu Ng\u1ecdc Anh; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the City People’s Council Nguy\u1ec5n Th\u1ecb B\u00edch Ng\u1ecdc; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee \u0110\u00e0o \u0110\u1ee9c To\u00e0n; members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, leaders of a number of departments and agencies of H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i.<\/p>\n

Th\u0103ng Long Imperial Citadel is a complex of relics associated with the L\u00fd – Tr\u1ea7n – L\u00ea M\u1ea1c dynasties and the history of Th\u0103ng Long. 1010 years since King L\u00fd Th\u00e1i T\u1ed5 issued an edict to move the capital from Hoa L\u01b0 (Ninh B\u00ecnh) to \u0110\u1ea1i La and renamed it Th\u0103ng Long, the capital city has undergone many development milestones, increasingly asserting its position as the land of talent, the Centre of cultural convergence and national resources. In addition, it is also the city for peace and aims to become a creative city in the future.<\/p>\n

In the sacred space of the thousand-year-old heritage site, the leaders of H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i offered incense to commemorate and express their gratitude to the ancestors who had painstakingly discovered, built and protected the land. They also paid tribute to King L\u00fd Th\u00e1i T\u1ed5 who established the capital city in Th\u0103ng Long in the autumn of 1010, opening up a period of glorious development of \u0110\u1ea1i Vi\u1ec7t (Great Vi\u1ec7t) as a country.<\/p>\n

This activity also aims to educate the tradition of \u201cremembering the headspring when drinking water\u201d, preserving the good values of Th\u0103ng Long – H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i, and promoting forever the values of the Imperial Citadel of Th\u0103ng Long, a world cultural heritage site in the heart of the thousand-year-old capital city H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i.<\/p>\n

The leaders of H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i expressed their determination to join hands with colleagues, comrades and all the people of the capital, set good examples in building the city’s Party Committee and a clean and strong political system. They wished to elevate the will of the people, build on the thousand-year tradition of culture, heroism, and the strength of national unity while promoting innovation and international integration so as to make the capital city more beautiful, cultured and modern.<\/p>\n
