On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the tripling of 3 cities H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i – Hu\u1ebf – S\u00e0i G\u00f2n (8 October 1960 \u2013 8 October 2020), Th\u1eeba Thi\u00ean Hu\u1ebf Department of Culture and Sports, Th\u0103ng Long- H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i Heritage Conservation Centre and Ho Chi Minh City Museum jointly inaugurated the thematic exhibition “From Th\u0103ng Long to Ph\u00fa Xu\u00e2n and Gia \u0110\u1ecbnh” on the afternoon of October 7 at Th\u1eeba Thi\u00ean Hu\u1ebf History Museum. In attendance at the opening ceremony were Ms. Nguy\u1ec5n Th\u1ecb \u00c1i V\u00e2n, Vice Chairwoman of Th\u1eeba Thi\u00ean Hu\u1ebf Provincial People’s Council, Mr. Nguy\u1ec5n Thanh B\u00ecnh, Vice Chairman of Th\u1eeba Thi\u00ean Hu\u1ebf Provincial People’s Committee.<\/p>\n

The thematic exhibition “From Th\u0103ng Long to Ph\u00fa Xu\u00e2n and Gia \u0110\u1ecbnh” features more than 80 antiques, typically ceramicware from the 10th to the 19th centuries (spanning different Vietnamese feudal dynasties from the L\u00fd \u2013 Tr\u1ea7n Dynasties to the Nguy\u1ec5n Dynasty), nearly 200 important and rare documentary images, diagrams, maps and more than 50 images and videos introducing H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i – Hu\u1ebf – Ho Chi Minh City. and nearly 1,000 books written on the history of formation, development, exchanges and the brotherly relationship between the three cities of H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i – Hu\u1ebf – S\u00e0i G\u00f2n.<\/p>\n

The content of the exhibition covers four main themes, namely: Th\u0103ng Long Captial City and The Central Sector of the Imperial Citadel of Th\u0103ng Long – H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i; Thu\u1eadn H\u00f3a – Ph\u00fa Xu\u00e2n – Th\u1eeba Thi\u00ean Hu\u1ebf, a journey of more than 700 years; Gia \u0110\u1ecbnh from the 17th to the 19th century; H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i – Hu\u1ebf \u2013 S\u00e0i G\u00f2n: trees of the same root and siblings of the same family.<\/p>\n

In 1010, King L\u00fd Th\u00e1i T\u1ed5 decided to move the capital from Hoa L\u01b0 to Th\u0103ng Long. Throughout the L\u00fd, Tr\u1ea7n, L\u00ea, M\u1ea1c, L\u00ea Trung H\u01b0ng dynasties, Th\u0103ng Long was always the capital and the Centre of Great Viet civilization, the convergence of national culture. During the T\u00e2y S\u01a1n and Nguy\u1ec5n dynasties, the capital moved to Ph\u00fa Xu\u00e2n – Hu\u1ebf, but Th\u0103ng Long – H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i remained a major cultural and economic Centre of the country.<\/p>\n

H\u00f3a Ch\u00e2u (Hu\u1ebf) was originally the Indrapura region of the Champa kingdom and since the 14th century it was integrated into Great Viet. In 1802, Ph\u00fa Xu\u00e2n – Hu\u1ebf became the capital of the Nguy\u1ec5n Dynasty, the Centre of all sources of strength of a unified Vietnam.<\/p>\n

Gia \u0110\u1ecbnh was the convergence of all resources that determined the success of the \u201crealm-expanding\u201d process of the Vietnamese nation. From Gia \u0110\u1ecbnh, land reclamation and sovereignty establishment quickly spread to the entire Southeast and Southwest regions. In 1757, the last part of the Southwest region was taken by Nguy\u1ec5n Lords, marking the completion of Vietnam\u2019s expansion of its realm.<\/p>\n

Th\u0103ng Long – Ph\u00fa Xu\u00e2n – Gia \u0110\u1ecbnh, \u00a0later known as H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i – Hu\u1ebf – S\u00e0i G\u00f2n\/Ho Chi Minh City, have historically become three typical cultural centres of the country, symbolizing the spirit of great solidarity of the nation.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of Th\u1eeba Thi\u00ean-Hu\u1ebf Department of Culture and Sports Phan Thanh H\u1ea3i stressed that H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i – Hu\u1ebf – S\u00e0i G\u00f2n are three cultural centres that represent the vitality of the Vietnam, the rippling strength of cultural exchange and fusion of a unified nation-state.<\/p>\n

It is that cultural foundation that serves as the adhesive and the common denominator of the Vietnamese community, the sustainable root of patriotism, the will to gain independence and unification for the country, the spirit of the great. national solidarity.<\/p>\n

Building on the sustainable cultural values that have become deeply ingrained in the blood and flesh of Vietnamese people, three cities representing the three regions of North-Centre-South held a brotherhood ceremony on 8 October 1960, at the Ba \u0110\u00ecnh \u2013 H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i Club. This was an important cultural and political event that marked a new milestone, symbolizing the solidarity of the Vietnamese people in general, and of the people of H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i – Hu\u1ebf – S\u00e0i G\u00f2n in particular.<\/p>\n

Speaking for the three participating organizations, Mr. Nguy\u1ec5n Thanh Quang, Deputy Director of the Th\u0103ng Long – H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i Heritage Conservation Centre expressed his belief that through the exhibition, the inseparability and loyalty of the three cities and localities will be all the more fostered and developed, enhancing the cooperation and exchange of both common cultural features and distinct characteristics among the three regions. In the coming time, the Th\u0103ng Long – H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i Heritage Conservation Centre will continue to cooperate with the Th\u1eeba Thi\u00ean Hu\u1ebf History Museum and the Ho Chi Minh City Museum to introduce to the public unique collections of artifacts, the precious cultural heritage of the nation preserved in the three respective agencies.<\/p>\n

The exhibition “From Th\u0103ng Long to Ph\u00fa Xu\u00e2n and Gia \u0110\u1ecbnh” is a practical activity to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the brotherhood of H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i – Hu\u1ebf \u2013 S\u00e0i G\u00f2n. The event is all the more meaningful when it is held on the occasion of the 1010th anniversary of Th\u0103ng Long \u2013 H\u00e0 N\u1ed9i and the 66th anniversary of the liberation of the capital city.<\/p>\n
