This marks the first milestone in a new phase of cooperation between the two heritage sites, with an expanded and enhanced presentation introducing the C\u1ed5 Loa National Special Relic Site to the public in Provins.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12853\" src=\"https:\/\/hoangthanhthanglong.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/hoangthanh01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1300\" height=\"975\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"746\" data-end=\"891\"><em data-start=\"746\" data-end=\"891\">Photo 1: Opening ceremony of the Promotion Space for the Th\u0103ng Long Imperial Citadel and the C\u1ed5 Loa Relic Site in the Medieval Town of Provins.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"893\" data-end=\"1593\">The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Olivier Lavenka \u2013 Mayor of Provins; Mr. \u0110inh To\u00e0n Th\u1eafng \u2013 Ambassador of Vietnam to France; Ms. Nguy\u1ec5n Th\u1ecb V\u00e2n Anh \u2013 Ambassador, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Vietnam to UNESCO; Ms. L\u00ea Th\u1ecb H\u1ed3ng V\u00e2n \u2013 Director General of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs); Ms. Nguy\u1ec5n Th\u1ecb H\u1ea1nh \u2013 Vice Chairwoman of the People\u2019s Committee of Qu\u1ea3ng Ninh Province; together with representatives of the H\u1ea1 Long Bay Management Board, the Tr\u00e0ng An Scenic Landscape Complex Management Board, and the Th\u0103ng Long \u2013 Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, who were in France to attend the 47th Session of the World Heritage Committee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"2184\">The Hanoi People\u2019s Committee and the \u00cele-de-France Regional Council officially established their partnership in 1989. Over more than 35 years, the Hanoi\u2013\u00cele-de-France cooperation has been continuously strengthened across various fields, becoming a model of local-level collaboration between Vietnam and France. This long-standing partnership has generated numerous meaningful and effective activities, programs, and projects in the areas of environment and sustainable development, urban planning, economic development, creativity and research, culture, heritage conservation, and tourism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2186\" data-end=\"2722\">Within the cooperation framework between the two cities, the Th\u0103ng Long \u2013 Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center has carried out a wide range of joint activities in recent years with heritage and tourism management bodies of the \u00cele-de-France region. These include exchanges of expertise, collaborative heritage preservation projects, tourism development initiatives, restoration of French architectural structures within the Th\u0103ng Long Imperial Citadel; internships and staff training; and cross-exhibitions between the two heritage sites.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2724\" data-end=\"3219\">Building on the outcomes of the 2019\u20132022 cooperation period, on 1 October 2024, the Th\u0103ng Long \u2013 Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center signed a new cooperation agreement with the Medieval Town of Provins for the next phase. Key activities include: exhibitions and promotional showcases; tourism promotion; internships and experience exchanges; organization of international scientific seminars and workshops; and technical support for enhancing the value of the C\u1ed5 Loa National Special Relic Site.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12854\" src=\"https:\/\/hoangthanhthanglong.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/hoangthanh02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1300\" height=\"975\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-start=\"3221\" data-end=\"3271\"><em data-start=\"3221\" data-end=\"3271\">Photo 2: Delegates visiting the Promotion Space.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3273\" data-end=\"3911\">Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mayor Olivier Lavenka emphasized: C\u1ed5 Loa was the first capital, laying the foundation for the earliest Vietnamese state. The Th\u0103ng Long Imperial Citadel represents its continuation, marking the strong development of the \u0110\u1ea1i Vi\u1ec7t medieval state. Both heritage sites served as national power centers in the past and carry profound symbolic and historical significance. This event demonstrates the vitality of the cooperation between Provins and the Th\u0103ng Long Imperial Citadel, as well as the shared aspiration to bring heritage to life\u2014across borders\u2014in a spirit of dialogue, exchange, and mutual respect.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"3913\" data-end=\"4220\">Ambassador \u0110inh To\u00e0n Th\u1eafng stated that the expanded Promotion Space for the Th\u0103ng Long Imperial Citadel and the C\u1ed5 Loa Relic Site reaffirms the practical and effective cooperation between the two heritage sites in promoting cultural heritage values, serving as a model for Vietnam\u2013France local partnerships.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"4222\" data-end=\"5012\">Mr. Nguy\u1ec5n Thanh Quang, Director of the Th\u0103ng Long \u2013 Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, noted that the C\u1ed5 Loa Promotion Space in Provins marks the beginning of a new cooperation phase between the two institutions. Building on the Promotion Space for the Th\u0103ng Long Imperial Citadel established in 2022, the Center has updated and added new content, images, and video clips showcasing the C\u1ed5 Loa National Special Relic Site under the theme <em data-start=\"4662\" data-end=\"4692\">\u201cC\u1ed5 Loa \u2013 A Land of Legends\u201d<\/em>. The display consists of three standees presenting the historical values, monuments, and artifacts of C\u1ed5 Loa; its intangible cultural heritage (festivals, cuisine, customs); and the dragon imagery found at the C\u1ed5 Loa site.
