It is one of South Asia\u2019s most distinctive archaeological and architectural sites, where natural landscapes blend seamlessly with ancient engineering and artistic expression.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"2054\" data-end=\"2385\">Sigiriya was built in the 5th century during the reign of King Kassapa I and briefly served as a royal capital and fortified palace.
