Doan Mon
Doan Mon is one of five works on the ground of the Imperial Citadel still preserved until today. This is the southern gate of the Forbidden Citadel, opening the Imperial Citadel, the place where the king, his relatives, and the mandarins visit each time they visit the king… Doan Mon consists of five doors – one of which is a gate. main, two side doors, two side doors – and three floors. Right in the area of Doan Mon, Vietnamese archaeologists discovered the “shiny way” connecting this work with Kinh Thien and Ky Dai palaces. This shows the importance of this work in the ancient Imperial Citadel architectural system…
