Today, people know this work as Hau Lau. In the past, this building was also called Tinh Bac Lau. This is one of the attics in the harem area – the residence and activities of the queen and her concubines and beauties. Until the Nguyen Dynasty, Hau Lau was still kept as the residence of the concubines and beauties who followed the king every visit to Bac Ha.
