Highlights of the 10th Anniversary of the Inscription of Thăng Long Imperial Citadel on UNESCO World Heritage List
The 10th anniversary of the inscription of Thăng Long Imperial Citadel on UNESCO World Heritage List took place in front of the Dragon Steps of the Kinh Thien Palace, the centermost venue of the capital city Thăng Long (now Hanoi), where occult spirits converge.
The event was an opportunity to look back on the cultural and heroic traditions of Thăng Long – Hanoi. It also contributed to promoting the Outstanding Universal Values of the Thăng Long Imperial Citadel, a heritage site with a history of more than one thousand years, a site of international stature.
The celebration took place on the occasion of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day 23 November and left many unforgettable impressions.
The special art program featured folk songs and intangible cultural heritage items that express the quintessence of national culture, and as such, have been inscribed by UNESCO on its honorary lists.
