Accelerating Thang Long Imperial Citadel Cultural and Historical Park

The Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has permitted the People’s Committee of Hanoi city to research, issue some specific policies to accelerate the progress for completing Thang Long Imperial Citadel Cultural and Historical Park project.

Development of planning and investment in construction of Cultural and historical park at Thang Long Imperial Citadel Centre – Hanoi directed by the Ministry of Politics at the Notification no. 191-TB/TW dated 10/10/2008. Of which Thang Long Imperial Citadel Cultural and Historical Park should be completed in comprehensive manner associated with construction of the National Assembly House to create harmonious landscape in the region.

In order to implement as directed by the Ministry of Politics, the Government on Thang Long-Hanoi Imperial Citadel Cultural and Historical Park Project, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has kindly requested the People’s Committee of Hanoi city to promptly complete and submit for approval of detailed plan on conserving and promoting the value of Hanoi Ancient Citadel Relic area; issue and approve the Regulation on managing the conservation planning , promoting the value of Thang Long-Hanoi Imperial Citadel Relic area upon the detailed planning is approved.

At the same time, the People’s Committee of Hanoi city shall accelerate to organize an examination on architectural plan for the construction work of Thang Long Imperial Citadel Centre, 18 Hoang Dieu relic area.

For the Northern and Eastern internal route of the National Assembly House, the Prime Minister has assigned the People’s Committee of Hanoi city to steer the Investor – Thang Long-Hanoi Heritage Conservation Centre, to coordinate with Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences in handing over the ground of the above internal route. The People’s Committee of Hanoi city shall arrange the ground at Hanoi Ancient Citadel relic area so that Vietnam Academy of Social Science moves all relics of the excavated relic area at no.18 Hoang Dieu, continues to research, prepare a scientific document.

Deputy Prime Minister has agreed to transfer items of construction of the Northern and Eastern route – the National Assembly House to the technical infrastructural and landscape construction project at the 18 Hoang Dieu archaeological monuments invested by the People’s Committee of Hanoi city. The People’s Committee of Hanoi city shall decide and be responsible for implementing this Project, ensure the comprehensive completion with the construction progress of the National Assembly House work.
