The event will showcase several representative works mostly regarding Hanoi for the period from 2006 to present by Artist Vuong Van Thao. He said: “Once seeing my works, each person will be reminded of historical and cultural values of Hanoi and choose some way for him to maintain and preserve those values!”

Artist Vuong Van Thao was born in Hanoi and graduated from Vietnam University of Fine Art in 1995. He has been rewarded many prizes including those by Hanoi Fine Art Association, Vietnam – Sweden Culture Fund and Prize Bui Xuan Phai – For the love of Hanoi.

His sculpture work has been put permanently in “Asian Art Spotlight” in China. Some of his “live fossil” works belong to the selection of Singapore Art Museum (SAM) and Vietnam Fine Art Museum.

The exhibition is held by Italian Embassy in Vietnam within the framework of “Italy – Vietnam 2014” program under the concept of maintaining and preserving Hanoi cultural values, especially of its Old Quarters.
