Festival activities to be held at Thang Long Imperial Citadel In celebration of the Party and the New Year 2016

Exhibition and display:
– Exhibition of Vietnamese Tết (Lunar New Year).
   – Exhibition of Vietnam’s Heritage Photos.
   – Exhibition of flowers and bonsai.
   – Display of most recent archaeological discoveries.
Time: Between 29 January 2016 and 29 February 2016.

Demonstrations:
   – The process of making Đông Hồ folk paintings.
   – The process of making a chưng cake.
   – The process of preparing a traditional votive food tray.
Time: 14h00 on 26 January 2016 and 13h00 on 31January 2016.

Folk music performances
   – 11 February 2016
   – 12 February 2016
   – 13 February 2016
   – 14 February 2016
   – 16 February 2016

Water puppetry performances
   11 February 2016
   – 13 February 2016
   – 15 February 2016
   – 16 February 2016
(three sessions a day, at 10h00, 14h00 and 16h00 respectively)

Incense offering ceremony
   – 16 February 2016

The Thăng Long Imperial Citadel heritage site will be closed on the 6, 7, 8, 9 February 2016. Visitors however can still access religious places within the site for incense offering.

The Citadel reopens for sightseeing on 10 February 2016 (or the third day of the Lunar New Year).
