First buffalo fighting festival held at Hanoi

32 strong fighting buffaloes from all over the country will participate in the Buffalo fighting festival held in the central stadium of Phuc Tho for 2 days (22-23 February 2014).

Mr. Nguyen Lien Viet, Vice Chairman of Phuc Tho District People’s Committee said that 32 fighting buffaloes are valued at over 4 billion VND, hail from many localities that are famous for buffalo festival such as Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, Nghe An.…

The Organizing Committee will award one first prize (equivalent to 3 taels of gold 9999), one second prize (equivalent to 2 taels of gold) and 2 third prizes (equivalent to 1 tael of gold for each buffalo). In addition, there are some other prizes: The best fighting buffalo pair, buffalo with good fight, best brave buffalo.

In the evening of 22 February, Phu Tho district will formally organize the receipt ceremony of Special national relic certificate for Hat Mon Temple of the district worshiping Hai Ba Trung.
