Vietnam and world heritages gathered at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long

The exhibition, which is held by Thang Long- Hanoi Heritage Conservation Centre in cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Heritage Association and Heritage magazine, gathered 120 photos of Vietnam heritages and over 20 photos of the world heritages in Vietnam. The event will be open to the end of February 28, 2014 to serve domestic and foreign visitors.

Contemplating photograph masterpieces in 2013 on beauty of Vietnam heritages, visitors will wallow in diversity of cultural color hidden in each specific characteristics of each region through new visions of Vietnam heritages and the world heritages in Vietnam.

Including photos displayed at the exhibition, the organizing committee selected 27 best works for award.

Regarding single photos, the special, first, second and third prizes were awarded to “Sea and people”- photographer Nguyen Xuan Huu Tam; “Going home from market, Sapa”- photographer Nguyen Van Dong; “Elderly friend”- photographer Nguyen Luong and “A home in Lao Cai”- photographer Nguyen Tien Dung, respectively.

Regarding series photos, the first and second prizes were awarded to “Dong Ky Firecracker Festival- author Hoang The Nhiem and “Buffalo Fighting Festival in Do Son”- author Nguyen Viet Rung, respectively.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Director of Thang Long- Hanoi Heritage Conservation Centre, the exhibition is held to convey precious values, beauty of the nature, country and people life to the residents and visitors; making us love more Vietnamese material and non-material cultural values.

To organize successfully this exhibition, the organizing committee mobilized the contest from June 2013, attracting 6,016 works on heritages included material and non-material cultural heritages and natural heritages.

The event is aimed to mark the anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23) and will be open to the end of February 28, 2014 to serve domestic and foreign visitors.
