Accordingly, the city will expand an archaeological site in the citadel and further study the architectural work of the pre-Nguyen dynasty in the central axis of the Forbidden Area.

The municipal centre for the preservation of Thang Long heritage will work with the Institute of Archaeology to expand the excavation site at KinhThien Palace, which was constructed under the Early Le dynasty (1428).

The city has set aside nearly 77 hectares for the relocation of a number of establishments from the citadel’s site, and asked relevant agencies to quickly complete a draft plan on the management of the heritage site.
