National Flag Presentation Ceremony at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long: A Sacred Symbol of Patriotism
On the afternoon of March 31, 2025, the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long in Hanoi hosted a solemn Flag Presentation Ceremony organized by the Party Committee of the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agribank). This event is part of Agribank’s 2025 program of returning to the roots and presenting national flags, embodying the bank’s patriotism, national pride, and social responsibility in preserving the nation’s cultural heritage.
The ceremony was graced by notable delegates. Representing the presenting organization was Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh Thu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of Agribank’s Transaction Office. On behalf of the receiving side, the Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center, was Ms. Nguyen Hong Chi, Deputy Director of the Centre. The event also saw the presence of staff from both organizations and numerous visitors.
Presenting the National Flag: A Noble Gesture
During the ceremony, Agribank’s Party Committee presented 30 national flags measuring 3.5m x 4.7m and 30 flags measuring 2m x 3m to the Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center. These flags will be displayed at the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, enhancing the prominence of Vietnam’s national flag at one of the country’s most significant historical sites.
In her address, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh Thu emphasized: “Presenting the national flag is not merely a material act but a symbol of patriotism and gratitude for our nation’s historical values. As a socially responsible commercial bank, Agribank is committed to contributing to the preservation and promotion of our cultural and historical heritage.”
Upon receiving this meaningful gift, Ms. Nguyen Hong Chi expressed her appreciation: “The Imperial Citadel of Thang Long stands as a testament to the resilient spirit of the Vietnamese people. The fluttering red flags with yellow stars will further sanctify this heritage site, conveying a powerful message of patriotism and national pride to every visitor.”
