Ensuring unified management of Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage
Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Hoang Trung Hai has kindly requested to the People’s Committee of Hanoi city to closely coordinate with the Ministry of National Defence to review construction items, implementation progress of removing units of the Ministry of National Defence to ensure the united management of Thang Long Imperial Citadel Centre Heritage.

Moreover, the People’s Committee of Hanoi city shall accelerate the ground clearance progress of remaining area at Tay Mo commune, Tu Liem district, and complete compensation, support and resettlement, ground clearance of 20 hectares of land in Me Tri commune (in My Dinh National Sport Complex) to hand over to the Ministry of National Defense to early implement the construction investment project as planned.
At the same time, the People’s Committee of Hanoi city shall coordinate with Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences to unify the contents, plan on handing over the 18 Hoang Dieu archaeological monuments in accordance with regulation of the Law on Cultural heritage and the Government’s commitment to ensure continuous succession, not affect the safety of all heritages, and the People’s Committee of Hanoi city shall chair, coordinate with the Ministry of National Defence to periodically report to the Prime Minister the progress of moving units in Thang Long Imperial Citadel Centre.
Thang Long-Hanoi Imperial Citadel Centre includes 18 Hoang Dieu archaeological monuments and Hanoi Ancient Citadel, which forms a unified heritage of the center area, is the best preserved and most important of Thang Long Forbidden City and the central axis of Hanoi city.
