On 30 May 2018 the Hanoi Transport and Services Corporation (Transerco) officially started the Hà Nội City Tour Hop on – Hop off route at the Đông Kinh Nghĩa Thục Square by the side of the city’s Sword Lake (Hoàn Kiếm).

Double-deckers are very popular in major cities around the world and has trial-run the first time in Hanoi on 30 Jun 2017 with a lot of positive feedback. In order to promote the city’s image as a civilized and modern place, Transerco worked with Ảnh Việt Hop on – Hop off Việt Nam company to deploy the Hanoi City tour Hop on – Hop off route. This is a modern tourist bus equipped with amenities like Global Positioning System GPS, automatic transmission gear, low floor which ensures smooth motion of the bus. The vehicle is also equipped with free wireless connection, USB charging portal, fridge, display and the surveillance camera that gives safety warnings to passengers on board.

A special highlight of this bus is the fact that it not only saves tourists a lot of time searching for places of interest but also provides vivid and complete explanation and introduction via a system of automatic interpretation system featuring various languages including English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
Thăng Long Imperial Citadel was chosen as one of the 13 stops because it is a recognized World Heritage Site of Hà Nội. The Central Sector of the Imperial Citadel of Thăng Long – Hà Nội is known not only for its feudal-time places but also bears long-established historical and cultural values, some of which are of outstanding universal significance.
