Images of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long and the Co Loa Citadel Archaeological Site at Provins

On July 6th 2025, at the historic Saint-Ayoul Church in Place Saint-Ayoul, 77160 Provins, France, the Thang Long – Ha Noi Heritage Conservation Centre, in collaboration with the medieval town of Provins, solemnly held the opening ceremony of the Exhibition Space for the Promotion of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long and the Co Loa Citadel Archaeological Site.

This meaningful event continues the longstanding, sustainable cooperation between the two localities, aiming to promote the outstanding cultural values of two prominent Vietnamese heritage complexes: the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long and the Co Loa Citadel Archaeological Site, to international audiences. At the same time, it enriches the cultural life of Provins, a renowned medieval town in France and a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site.

The exhibition space stands as a vivid testament to the spirit of friendship and shared responsibility in the preservation and promotion of humanity’s cultural heritage. This event marks the beginning of a promising and practical new phase in the relationship between the Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation Centre and the authorities and people of Provins, contributing actively to the global effort to safeguard and spread the precious cultural and historical values of nations, for a world rich in identity and sustainability.
