Opening Hanoi Spring Festival 2014

Evening January 21, Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of Hanoi Spring Festival 2014 themed “Maintaining identity – promoting tradition” in Quan Ngua Sports Palace.

Spring Festival contains 200 booths introducing attractive destinations, products of traditional handicraft villages, consumer goods for lunar New Year, zones displaying peach blossoms, tangerine trees, ornamental plants and traditional art space, etc.

Spring Festival 2014 begins for culture, art, sports and tourism events to take place in 2014 in Hanoi capital city with the aim to enhance beauty of traditional handicraft villages, handicraft streets, and honor talented artists of Hanoi.

Organizing Board hopes that Spring Festival will be an exciting place for city residents and domestic, international visitors to fully enjoy during lunar New Year 2014. By the way, the festival can introduce to domestic and international visitors the strength of Hanoi Tourism; promote the tourism development of the country in general and Hanoi city in particular.

Hanoi Spring Festival will take place from January 21-26, 2014.
